About us

Hällerum Trä AB is today a modern sawmill, located abt 15 km south-east of Vimmerby. The company employ abt 20 skilled and liable employees.

The log-supply comes primarily from private forest owners, within a radius of 25 km from the sawmill. In our planingmill, (where we have two planingmachines and one recut-saw) we plane abt 65 % of the total production.
We have also fascilities for bundling and cutting to length.

Abt 70 % of the production is exported, mainly to England, Denmark, Germany, Norway, France, North Africa and other Mediterranean countries. On the domestic market, we supply the buildning material trade, buildning firms, as well as packaging industries.

Since 2004 we only sell wood in bundles.

Between 1994 to august 2007 the company was owned by Urban and Lars Svensson (brothers) and their nephew, Per Svensson.

In august 2007 the company was bought by Frödinge Sågverk. The intension from the new owner, is to run the company in the same direction as before.
The old owners will still be working for the company in the future.
